A Sweet Treat without the Guilt
by Natural Healing Expert, Leah E. McCullough
This is a go-to recipe for me when I have a hankering for something sweet and chocolaty but I don’t want to blow it on the sugar front. It tastes like cold hot chocolate. If you take this to a party for yourself, so that you can have a dessert, you might find that others will expect you to share. It’s that good!
The following re the ingredients and the method you will need to make a cup of Cold Whipped Hot Chocolate :
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy whipped cream, preferably organic, grass-fed, raw or minimally pasteurized (like Snowville Creamery)
- 1 Tablespoon organic cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon organic vanilla extract
- ½ packet organic powdered stevia
- Dash unrefined sea salt (like Real Salt, Himalayan, or Celtic Sea Salt)
Method:
This is the easiest and least-messy way I have found to make and store Cold Whipped Hot Chocolate. In a 1 quart glass canning jar pour the cream to the 1 cup mark. Add the rest of the ingredients.
Using an immersion blender whip up the ingredients, by moving the stick of the blender up and down. This is fast! Scoop out with a rubber spatula into bowls to serve or just keep it for yourself in the jar in the refrigerator and scoop some out with an ice tea spoon when you have a need for something chocolaty. This recipe easily doubles using the same size jar.
