Smooth Water Recipe

Makes 2 Quarts

We started calling this particular hydrating concoction “Smooth Water” because it just goes down so easy!  With the lime juice it almost tastes like a margarita.  Without the lime juice it tastes like salty lemonade, not at all sweet, but not overly tart either.  I drink this first thing in the morning before I exercise and then throughout the day, which is why it is a two quart recipe.

Smooth water recipe ingredients: 

¼ cup organic lemon juice, or a combination of lemon and lime juices (even better if you can find fresh-squeezed)

1 tsp. unrefined sea salt (such as as Real Salt, Himalayan, or Celtic Sea Salt)

1 Tbl.  Apple cider vinegar (like Bragg’s)


Smooth water recipe method:

In a 2 quart pitcher or jar, add the lemon and/or lime juices, the salt and the apple cider vinegar.  Add filtered water to fill.  Stir and enjoy.

For a variation:

Pour in a glass half Smooth Water and half sparkling mineral water, stir and enjoy.
